Jesus Christ Superstar Gospel
This totally re-conceived production was presented at Atlanta's Alliance theatre under the direction of Susan V. Booth. Conceived by Louis St. Louis and Daryl Williams this show was performed with a 40 member gospel choir and an onstage band.
Eric played King Herod and strutted the stage in a purple suit, hat and shoes!
Broadway musical director and composer Louis St. Louis conceived the gospel take on Jesus Christ Superstar that has been sanctioned by composer Lloyd Webber and lyricist Tim Rice. Alliance artistic director Susan V. Booth directed the sung-through work that officially opened Jan. 21, 2009, and concluded Feb. 22, 2009.
